I’ve been hooked on music from the day I could reach the keys of my family’s heirloom 1910 Bush & Gerts upright piano. I would tinker out the melodies of scores from movies like Star Wars and Top Gun. That lead to tinkering out my own pieces. Between age 5 and 8, I was Elvis Presley for Halloween twice, and sang/lip-synced “Blue Suede Shoes” at my school talent show. When I was 12 I bought my friend’s bass and started learning lines from my favorite bands at the time, “Rage Against The Machine” and “The Red Hot Chili Peppers”. That is also when I joined the school band where I played bass clarinet. At 14 I started an 8 piece ska/punk/swing band with some friends who were also in the school band. We called it “Who’s Your Daddy?”. I played bass, my brother played tenor/baritone sax, and we also had drums, electric guitar, Trombone, Trumpet, Alto Sax, and a Lead Singer. I love music. I get a kick out of creating music that I enjoy, and I get even more stoked when other people like it too.
