For 30 years, award-winning pianist and composer Andy Milne has demonstrated boundless versatility, collaborating with dancers, visual artists, poets and musicians who span jazz, classical, pop, folk, and world music. A fearless, versatile explorer, Milne is a former student of Oscar Peterson and has collaborated with an array of artists including Ralph Alessi, Ravi Coltrane, Andrew Cyrille, Sekou Sundiata, Cassandra Wilson and others. Active composing and arranging for classical ensembles as well as scoring for film and television, with his Unison trio, he returns to his first love, the piano trio. He has enjoyed a synchronistic relationship with bassist John Hébert since 2010, and with drummer Clarence Penn, they released their debut album, The reMission, in 2020, which won the 2021 JUNO Award for Jazz Album of the Year. Tonight, sitting in for Penn is drummer Nate Winn.
