Kalina Scollon
I have a passion for independence and identity, or rather, a grandiose belief in expressing who you are. Music is but one outlet of communication. However, I have found it to hold the greatest meaning in my life. It is a tremendous honor to me to have this opportunity to share these pieces of my soul, past and present, with you. By listening to my music you are supporting the dream of my life, and the greatest adventure I’ve been journeying through since I was a little girl.
I’ve been singing for as long as I can remember. In fact, I had all but blotted out the memories from when I was a toddler: hearing voices move acrobatically, entwining with the noises dancing rhythmically on the sound track, and trying to figure out how to make mine do the same. Somewhere along in elementary school I found myself in choir, and then eventually summer musicals with a non-profit play group. Since then, I’ve performed with two bands and several other small collaborations with both singing and song writing. My ambitions are rather big and plenty, so I’ll start with just a recap for now: I released my first EP when I was 14 with the help of GRS Music Studios, and now I’ve just released my second at 22 with the support of Rio Grande Studios. I’m very excited for the adventure, and hope you enjoy these songs I have eagerly anticipated getting to share with you!
