Pianist, composer, and writer Ethan Iverson, a founding member of The Bad Plus, one of the most celebrated, thoughtful, and prominent jazz acts of the last twenty years, has been involved in many projects since leaving the group in early 2018 after a 17-year tenure.  The co-curator for a major centennial celebration of Thelonious Monk at Duke University where he premiered an evening-length work with the Mark Morris Dance Group, he also premiered an original piano concerto with the American Composers Orchestra and released three albums including his latest, Every Note is True (2022) with Larry Grenadier and Jack DeJohnette. Iverson has also been in the critically-acclaimed Billy Hart quartet for well over a decade and was selected by Time Out New York as one of 25 essential New York jazz icons.
