3rd Annual AfroMundo Festival 2024: Maroons, Rebels, Dreamers & Visionaries, Hubby Jenkins
Outpost once again presents a concert in partnership with the week-long AfroMundo Festival: Maroons, Rebels, Dreamers and Visionaries, which explores the histories, languages, literature, poetics, religious and cultural practices of Afro peoples from the featured regions of Colombia, Costa Rica, Jamaica, United Statess through films, music, dance, oral traditions, culinary and other arts. The 3rd annual AfroMundo Festival 2024 features multi-instrumentalist Hubby Jenkins, who specializes in blues and old-time music. Jenkins, a Grammy and Americana award nominated artist, has performed at festivals and venues around the world as a leader and as a member of the Carolina Chocolate Drops and with Rhiannon Giddens.
