wo-time Grammy Award nominated singer-songwriter, guitarist and New Mexico native, Raul Midón, last heard at Outpost in August 2023, returns with his signature silky voice and percussive guitar style that have been described as “a syncopated wonder.” Educated in the jazz program at the University of Miami, he currently lives in Maryland – after spending several years in New York City– and has earned acclaim the world over. Dubbed “an eclectic adventurist” by People magazine, Midón, who is blind, has released 10 studio albums as a solo artist and has worked with countless legends including Bill Withers, Herbie Hancock, Sting, Terence Blanchard, Dianne Reeves and more. His latest 2020 release, The Mirror, was nominated for Best Jazz Album from the A2IM Libera Awards and he received the Disability Rights Ambassador of the year award in 2021, presented to him in a virtual ceremony by his friend and colleague Jason Mraz.
