Mustafa Stefan Dill – Love Unfold The Sun

Merging free jazz improvisation, hard rock intensity, and Middle Eastern/Turkish elements into a sound that defies categories, Love Unfold the Sun (LUTS), founded by guitarist/oudist Mustafa Stefan Dill, delivers an “explosive, visceral, and hypnotic” sound with live sets that are as physical as they are intricate — equally at home on jazz stages and adventurous cross-genre festivals. The group’s 2025 release, Explode Yourself, and its accompanying concert film have drawn international attention, and this concert marks the group’s first major Albuquerque appearance.  Also featuring Dan Pearlman on cornet, Ross Hamlin, bass, and Dave Wayne on drums, LUTS is a band “seeking to expand the boundaries of contemporary jazz with a deeply experimental spirit” (La Caverna, Mexico).
